  • Lead Indigenous Specific Anti-Racism Facilitator  June 2024 -  present  Provincial Health Services Authority          

    Facilitating anti-indigneous racism workshops within PHSA for executive teams and leadership.

    Supporting a 40 year old non-profit feminist anti-oppressive organization during a period of significant transition and transformation. Focus on staff engagement, community leadership, economic diversification and board development.

    Working on the OurUnlearning.ca project facilitating white settler racial caucusing and overarching Indigenous specific anti-racism learning and unlearning.  Specialized focus on working within large public health systems with a quality improvement lens and a commitment to transformational change by way of a cultural safety and humility, anti-racism decolonizing harm reduction approach

    Her+Way Home Lead January 2021 – Dec 2022 ISLAND HEALTH Victoria BC   Team lead for a primary care wrap around harm reduction support program for women+ who are pregnant/early parenting and using substances, or who are in early recovery.

    Anti-Racism Project Lead July 2018 – January 2021 ISLAND HEALTH Victoria BC   Under the direction of Indigenous leaders at Island Health (reporting to the executive leads / VP of Organizational Experience and Aboriginal Health) developing and co-leading a 5 year Indigenous specific anti-racism, participatory decolonization and engagement plan.

    Visiting Professor June-July 2017/2021   ECOLES DES HAUTES ETUDES EN SANTÉ PUBLIQUE  France EU Coordinated and co-designed a month long intensive integration module for two cohorts of international students in a Masters of Public Health program.  Focus was on Public Health communication, equity and cultural safety. In addition to teaching and supporting students, delivered several presentations to the full faculty

    Elected City Councillor 2005-2010 CITY OF VICTORIA Victoria BC Municipally elected official working as a member of a 9-person council with primary responsibilities focused on quality governance and evidence-informed decision making. Key achievements: Adoption of International Association of Public Participation (IAp2) principles, City of Victoria’s first Public Engagement Strategy, first Department of Sustainability and first edible civic gardens. Additionally spearheaded live streaming of council meetings and other City Hall accessibility resources.
